How It Works Process Flow
Raw Material Preparation
Raw coconut (or copra) is prepared: dehusked, cleaned, and sometimes dried or steamed.
Proper pre-treatment (moisture control) is key for efficient oil yield.
Feeding into the Expeller
The coconut meat is fed into a hopper that leads to a screw press chamber.
The screw (or auger) rotates under motor power, pushing the coconut material forward.
Compression / Pressing
As the material moves forward in the pressing chamber, increasing pressure squeezes oil out.
The design of the pressing cage (mesh, perforations) allows oil to escape while retaining the solid oil cake.
Oil Collection
Extracted oil flows out through an oil outlet.
It may then be collected in a tray or routed to a container (or a simple filter).
Cake Discharge
The residual solid (oil cake) is discharged at the end of the screw.
This cake can be used for animal feed or other purposes.
Basic Control
The operator manages feed rate, motor speed, and sometimes temperature (if there is heating).
